Workshop participants were finally asked to identify their visions for Dwellingup in the future, with indicative timeframes of between ten and fifteen years being considered. The aspirations and visions of the local community should guide the review of the DSDP. For the purposes of this exercise it was explained that vision ideas:
• should enhance the things you value
• should address the things that concern you
• can be solutions to issues or trends.
Approximately five common themes emerging in respect to future visions are:
• Bypass Road for Trucks and Mining Vehicles
• Maintain the integrity of the Community
• Embracing Sustainability and Town Uniqueness (Heritage Characteristics)
• Ecological and Economical Sustainability
• Development/Subdivision Guidelines
