Having worked in the industry both in Australia and overseas on a range of projects, Michael has a wealth of experience that ensures his clients get the right planning expertise for their project.

With qualifications in both Environmental Science and Town Planning, Michael’s experience includes consulting to public and private clients. His expertise includes urban and regional planning, environmental studies and plans and strategic planning. Michael’s clients have appreciated his ability to assess the ‘big picture’ of a project as well as pay attention to the many details involved in the planning process. This ability to think strategically whilst making sure that things are not overlooked, ensures Michael’s clients receive plans that achieve their goals and minimise the number of potential hassles.

Helen Taylforth

Helen Taylforth is a qualified town planner with over 10 years town planning experience. She has worked in all areas of the industry including private businesses and state and local government and prides herself on ensuring that her clients have access to the right information so they can make informed decisions and act quickly to realise their opportunities.

Helen has a practical, approachable style that helps her to work with her clients to find out exactly what they are trying to achieve and then determines the best way to go about making it happen. Her comprehensive knowledge of government policies, legislation and regulations ensures that Helen’s clients do not get caught up in the ‘red tape maze’. She puts the tangle of government requirements into plain English, so that her clients know what they can and can’t do.

With strong contacts throughout the local government network, Helen makes sure her clients have the best possible chance of getting their plans approved and making their ideas a reality.

Sharee Rasmussen

Sharee joined Land Insights in early 2007 after graduating from Murdoch University with a degree in a Bachelor of Environmental Sciences (2nd class merit honours and a double major in Biological Sciences).

Since that time Sharee has worked on a variety of projects for private, state and local government clients. She has experience in environmental planning, strategic and statutory planning, Land Use Master Planning and environmental management.

Sharee has a keen interest in integrating environmental protection with planning and, as such, is largely concerned with assessing the environmental aspects of most jobs and the preparation of rehabilitation and revegetation plans.
