Since 2002, Land Insights has worked with Western Australian local governments on statutory planning, strategic planning, environmental planning and GIS. Most of our work has been in regional WA.

Local government planning teams are expected to manage DA timeframes, subdivision referrals, scheme amendments, Council reporting and strategic projects, often with limited internal resources. Specialist expertise is not always available in-house, and some projects benefit from independent external advice.

Local planning strategies, structure plans, scheme reviews, local planning policies, coastal and foreshore management planning, environmental planning and GIS mapping. We deliver strategic planning projects for councils on a project basis through the WALGA panel or direct RFQ engagement.

WA planning experience

Our team hold qualifications in urban and regional planning, environmental science and sustainability. We have worked in the WA planning system for more than two decades and understand DPLH requirements, the EPA approvals framework and the practical realities of council planning operations.

Regional WA coverage

We have offices in Perth and Geraldton, giving us a presence in both the metropolitan area and the Mid West. We work across all of Western Australia, including remote and rural locations, and have provided planning and environmental support to regional councils for more than two decades.
