Austral Bricks was seeking land use (planning) and environmental approvals for the development of a significant quarry, used to provide a specific style of clay for brick-making.
Land Insights prepared and progressed a range of approvals for the site, including:
- Development Application through the Shire of Toodyay
- Extractive Industry licence (Shire of Toodyay)
- Clearing Permit (Department of Water and Environmental Protection)
- Matters of National Environmental Significance approval under the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment).
All approvals were issued, and the site has been operating now for several years.
Land Insights continues to assist Austral Bricks in managing ongoing compliance reporting, including the preparation of Annual Reports and clearance of conditions, and managing reporting and regarding dieback and water management. Land Insights has also undertaken regular UAV surveys of the site to assist Austral Bricks in quarry planning.
