Midland Brick Upper Swan (Hallatts) Clay Quarry

Midland Brick owns and operates a significant quarry in Upper Swan, adjacent to the Swan River.  The site is a significant clay resource used by Midland Brick for the manufacture of bricks at their Midland Factory.

Land Insights was commissioned by Midland Brick/Boral to prepare and obtain approvals for the expansion of the quarry from the City of Swan.  The applications needed to address the requirements of the City’s Local Planning Scheme and Extractive Industry Local Law and be cognisant of an existing Ministerial Statement (Environmental) on the site.

Land Insights prepared all relevant planning/EIL documentation to submit to the City of Swan, and managed the preparation of specialist reports in Traffic, Acoustics and Bushfire Management.  Once the application was approved by the City, we continued to assist Midland Brick in the clearance of relevant conditions. The site is now operational.
