Midland Brick/Brikmakers operate numerous clay extraction pits in Western Australia. The pits often have multiple approvals – including Planning (Development), Extractive Industry Licence and Clearing Permit.
Land Insights was commissioned to prepare a database of all the clay extraction sites, their relevant approvals, expiry date and ongoing compliance requirements. The database was built and populated in Quickbase and now forms the basis for the ongoing operations of the Midland Brick Environment and Planning Team.
